Government Surveillance 101

The Wall Street Journal has provided this excellent overview of government surveillance efforts and the concerns they raise.

Meanwhile, DailyKos blogger mcjoan has just written about the ACLU's reponse to the WSJ article, including more on the scope of the program (at least as much as we know about it) and a Freedom of Information Act request to find out more about aspects of the WSJ story.

Unfortunately, I believe that the United States Government is spying
on many more people that they have reported.

I believe that I have been under Government Surveillance since August of 2003.
(Although, I do not have any proof of that.)

I believe that the U.S. Government is disabling individuals' antivirus
security software as a means of 'hacking' into citizens' computers.

Such activity leaves people at risk for other less 'honest'
individuals to 'hack' into their computers and this is why I am
writing you this comment.

I believe that when the U.S Government disables the antivirus security
software, they then change the antivirus software's setting to make it
'appear' as if it is working correctly.

Furthermore, the U.S. Government can spy on your computer whether
you are connected to the internet OR NOT. They are doing it
wirelessly through a device that is installed in every 'NEW' computer.

So, LOOK OUT don't put anything on a computer that you would not want
the United States Government to see, whether you are connected to the
internet OR NOT.

Also, I am innocent, I am one of those 'MISTAKES'.
