Am I really the first person to realize that I am paying more income tax to Massachusetts based on answers to questions on the tax form asking about my religious beliefs? If this isn't religious discrimination, then the justice system has entered the twilight zone.
Hmm -- How so?
On the basis of "separation of church and state", more favorable tax treatment on a religious basis is unconstitutional (U.S. constitution). What it really says is that the government "shall not establish an official religion", but the interpretation of this clause has extended to such matters as the presence of a cross on a governmental seal, hence I assert that my interpretation is on solid ground.
